WHAT WE DO
Connect, share, learn, conserve.
The IRKA is a non-profit that connects rhino keepers worldwide. The culmination of this organization is a bi-ennial workshop that draws an audience from all over the world. We meet and discuss rhino care, husbandry, management, research, conservation initiatives, genetics, reproductive physiology, and professional development.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The International Rhino Keeper Association (IRKA) has developed a program that will provide rhino keepers the opportunity to expand their knowledge and husbandry experience. This program has been designed to enable rhino keepers to work at other institutions to familiarize themselves with different management styles.
RHINO MANAGEMENT
The IRKA recommended husbandry practices for all five species.
